Bachelor of Laws

The Law Programme at Lecole is an evening programme in collaboration with the University of London International Programmes. Lecole is the oldest and most successful institution providing University of London International Programme education in Karachi, Pakistan. Currently, the programmes offered include the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law (CertHE). The L’ecole Foundation Programme is offered to students who wish to take an additional year in preparation for the LLB.

The Law Programme is for individuals who want to procure an LLB degree of international standing, for those who wish to develop a critical awareness of the common law legal tradition and be able to apply analytical and problem-solving skills in a range of legal and non-legal settings. It will also benefit students or professionals who would like to enhance key skills of communication, information literacy, analysis and argument.

One of the key features of the UOL international law programme is flexibility. It enables the students to make independent choices as to the length and duration of their study programme. It also depends on the entry route they choose.

Some of the most able and intellectual faculty members teach on the course as well as notable professionals who graduated from this very institute and are now prominent in the legal fraternity.

As aspiring law students, our students realise and learn that the role of lawyers around the world is to be the upholders or the rule of law, the defenders of the Constitution, the guardians of our liberty, the advocates of just causes, and most importantly the protectors of the powerless. This is what we hope and aim to train you as law students to become.

The approach to learning that we follow, and is common to all British degrees, fosters independent thinking, analytical skills and self-discipline. This gives you an edge when you compete for a job as thes are skills employers particularly value.

Like any other organization, institute, or profession in the world, Law School also comes with its own set of challenges and expectations. Lecole aims to follow as closely as possible the structure and format of the degree as it is taught in Universities in England. Therefore, there is a criteria of expectation that must be met by our students on the programme.
